Several popular mangas have been translated into other languages and have also been adapted into movies.
The medium includes works in a broad range of genres including drama, action, historical, adventure, sports, romance, mystery, fantasy, suspense, and many others. Outside the country, the word is used typically to refer to comics originally published in the country.
Even today, many mangas are developed as per the style followed in Japan during the late nineteenth century.
